A sale of this kind is rarely a transaction. It is a handover between two families, often conducted across a table set for tea in a house the seller has lived in for thirty winters. We approach our mandate with the care that setting deserves.
Lago & Co. was founded in Ascona in 2009 to represent a small number of principal residences, historic estates, and lakefront properties in Switzerland. Today we hold an active portfolio of twelve to eighteen properties, largely introduced through private referral. We do not advertise in local press. We do not publish sold prices. We do not accept mandates we cannot place within eighteen months.
What we offer, quietly, is a small circle of buyers and sellers who prefer to transact among peers, and the legal, fiscal, and architectural network required to make those transactions feel effortless on both sides.

A first meeting in your home, or in our library in Ascona. No commitment, no paperwork. We listen to what you want the transition to feel like.
An exclusive representation agreement, a confidential dossier commissioned with an architect and surveyor, legal and fiscal review by our notarial partners.
A shortlist of pre-qualified buyers, each under NDA, each introduced by our office. Never more than three viewings per month, never on weekends.
Negotiation conducted by our office, final documents at the notary of your choosing. The sale is registered; the transaction is never publicised.

Affiliations are maintained through bilateral correspondent agreements, not franchise licences. Each mandate remains the sole responsibility of Lago & Co.

Selling a property above CHF 5 million is not a decision taken in an afternoon. We are comfortable with several months of quiet correspondence before any commitment. You may write in Italian, English, French, or German.
For buyers, a short letter describing your situation, preferred regions, and indicative budget is sufficient to begin. Proof of funds is requested only once a specific estate is discussed in detail.
